This is a wonderful representation, always ensure you’re being handed information with B.R.A.I.N to feel you have an informed understanding to make an informed choice!

Posted @withregram • @pregnahub_app Understanding risk matters! A “100% increase” sounds big, but if the starting number is small, the actual risk may still be low.

🌿✨ Hello, Spring! 🌸☀️

As the wheel of the year turns, we welcome the season of renewal, growth, and light! 🌱🌿 The ancient Celts honored this time with **Ostara**, a festival marking the **Spring Equinox**—a moment of perfect balance between day and night. This sacred time symbolizes fertility, abundance, and new beginnings. 🐣🌸

As the Earth reawakens, so do we! Now is the time to plant seeds (both literal & metaphorical), embrace fresh opportunities, and celebrate the return of warmth and life. 🌞💐

✨ Ways to honor the season:
🌷 Spend time in nature—watch the world bloom!
🥚 Decorate eggs, an ancient symbol of fertility & rebirth.
🔥 Light a candle to welcome the returning sun.
🌿 Cleanse your space & set new intentions.

Spring is here, and magic is in the air! How are you celebrating? 🌸✨ #Ostara #SpringEquinox #HelloSpring

We love this explanation from @esme_bumpsandbirths thank you for this great video!

Posted @withregram • @esme_bumpsandbirths Waters breaking 💦 Hindwaters vs Forewaters!

Sometimes all the midwife lingo can be a bit confusing so I thought I’d explain!

Being a midwife I get asked a lot of questions like.. ‘when will I know’ or ‘how will I be able to tell if its really my waters?’

So, here are my top tips:
✨they don’t always go like in the movies with a huge gush, but if they do, you’ll know!!
✨ make a note of the time they went
✨ if you’re unsure if it’s your waters or *a-little-bit-of-wee* pop a big pad on and check it in an hour. If it’s your waters the pad will be wet
✨ once your waters break they keep trickling until your baby is born
✨ your waters should be clear or pink in colour. If they look brown/green it may be some meconium (your baby’s first poo) and it’s important to get checked by a midwife
✨ your waters can break before contractions start, during labour, just before your baby is born, or very rarely they’re born in their membranes (called en caul)
✨ if contractions haven’t started, do all the things to get your oxytocin flowing!
✨ Let your midwife know your waters have gone and they’ll be able to chat you through the next steps!

Hope you’ve found this helpful. Follow @esme_bumpsandbirths for more birth tips or book onto one of my courses!

Resharing this powerful birthing woman!

Posted @withregram • @badassmotherbirther .

A mother simplistically and primitively birthing her baby is the most feared woman in society.
